Director of Human Resources for the City of Central Falls and Chief Executive Officer of Diversity Talks

 Ana Ureña is an operations professional who focuses on how organizational practices can best serve marginalized and underserved communities through combating the challenges presented by systems that are oppressive by design.  

 Her passion for advocacy is evident through her academic career, with a bachelor’s in political science, a Juris Doctorate, and a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and Organizational Leadership, all acquired with the purpose of gaining the skills necessary to dismantle structures that contribute to the inequalities caused by systems of privilege.  Ana’s experience in the fields of law, operations, human resources, and academia has given her a uniquely diverse set of skills adequate for analyzing and developing structures informed by best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
